“I know there is strength in the differences between us.
I know there is comfort, where we overlap.”
Building a Community
Since the beginning of Hattast-ique, we have always had a strong sense of community. We understand that the struggle of being on the road, living out of a suit case, working events day and night (sometimes as long as 15 hour days), is easier when you have a good support system behind you. It is easier when you can relate to and make friends with your fellow vendors.
There is more to the life of a vendor than setting up the booth and selling merchandise. It takes an endless amount of hours perfecting your craft, designing your booth space, ordering and tracking inventory, posting on social media, updating websites and the list goes on.
I remember the first year we worked Sturgis, our biggest event of 2015, was the first time I realized how hard vendors work. We had very little experience that year. We didn't have a ton of inventory. We didn't really know what we were doing. All we knew was we had hats that we needed to sell! Thankfully, we had a friend to show us the way. Sue, from Four Smoking Blondes, offered us half of her booth space. By working with Sue, we learned how important it is to build a community with other vendors.

Since that year, we have established a long list of friends that travel the country and work events the way we do. They put in the hours. They drive through the storms. They do what it takes to make this life style a fun and profitable way of living, just like we do.
When we show up at an event and see these familiar faces, it feels like home. We know we have someone to vent to if we need. We have someone who understands the troubles of life on the road. Someone who understands the love and dedication we put into each and every one of our products that echoes their own perseverance. These other vendors, this endless community, these are the people we love. These are our people. This is our community! And together, we make every event an adventure.

Between the wonderful community vendors have created and our amazing customers, it takes a village to bring these events to life. We couldn't do it without you, and you couldn't have them without us.
Can't wait to see you at the next one
Have perfectly topped off week,
